English Dub Review: Tomb Raider King “Restoration of Relics”

Jooheon seeks out the aid of a certain individual to restore the relics that were broken in his fight against Kwon.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, Tomb Raider King continues to improve as Joo-Heon faces new challenges while staying several steps ahead of his opponents. His knowledge of the future and willingness to use ruthless, calculated tactics make him an especially entertaining protagonist, while Kwon Tae-Joon provides some much-needed opposition to his usual dominance.
The rest of the proceedings also introduces Jaeha Yoo, another supporting character who works as an artist and relic restoration expert. His introduction adds an interesting new element to the story and gives Joo-Heon another opportunity to showcase his clever and morally questionable methods. While some of the execution could have been better, Jaeha is a welcome addition to the growing cast.
Overall, Tomb Raider King is finally starting to find its footing. Joo-Heon’s cleverness, quick thinking, and willingness to play dirty make him a refreshing protagonist, while the developing character dynamics keep things entertaining. The series still has flaws, particularly the stiff facial animation and random censorship, but the story is becoming much more enjoyable as it moves forward.
