Picking up from the previous episode, Tomb Raider King continues to lean heavily into its power-fantasy appeal. Joo-Heon remains an unusually ruthless protagonist, showing little hesitation when dealing with anyone who stands in his way, while still maintaining enough humor and personality to keep him entertaining. The episode also introduces more mystery surrounding the Crow relic and its apparent connection to humanity, adding another intriguing layer to the story without revealing too much.
The action is easily one of the episode’s stronger aspects, with generally smooth fight choreography and some impressive visual moments, particularly inside the Egyptian tomb. The atmosphere and sound design can feel inconsistent, and there are occasional static moments in the animation, but the overall presentation still delivers some satisfying spectacle. The biggest criticism remains how easily major threats can be neutralized, which can diminish the tension whenever Joo-Heon appears to be in genuine danger.
Overall, Tomb Raider King continues to deliver the unapologetic power fantasy it’s aiming for, with Joo-Heon’s ruthless attitude making him an entertaining protagonist to follow. While the convenient power-ups can sometimes make the stakes feel less impactful, the episode closes on a cliffhanger that genuinely left me wanting to see what happens next.
