Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, this installment delivers several interesting developments while keeping its bigger mysteries under wraps. The fortune-telling sequence is particularly intriguing, with each character receiving predictions that hint at what may lie ahead. Leon’s reading is especially amusing given his frustration with the village chief, while the episode also gives more attention to Yumeria’s troubled past and her growing relationship with Leon and Kyle. These quieter character moments help add some welcome depth alongside the episode’s larger developments.

There’s also plenty of the usual Leon comedy, especially whenever Queen Mylene is involved, as his attempts to win her over continue to be one of the series’ funniest recurring gags. Unfortunately, Julius remains more than happy to get in his way. Meanwhile, the artifact subplot provides another entertaining diversion before the story takes a more serious turn, setting up yet another political headache for Leon. His increasingly complicated situation leaves plenty of room for speculation about what comes next, and the cliffhanger ending leaves more questions than answers…

Overall, this is a solid episode that balances character development, comedy, political intrigue, and a few mysteries without revealing too much of what’s ahead. The continued development among Leon, Kyle, and Yumeria is especially welcome, while the fortune-telling raises some interesting questions about the future. It may not be the strongest episode of the arc, but it keeps the story moving and leaves Leon in yet another wonderfully troublesome situation. Now the question is how he’ll get himself out of this one.
