‘Robot Chicken’ Sets Adult Swim 25th Anniversary Special for August 30

Adult Swim is celebrating a quarter-century of late-night animation chaos, and they’re marking the milestone on the high seas. The network has dropped a new teaser trailer announcing the Robot Chicken Adult Swim 25th Anniversary Special, set to premiere on Sunday, August 30th at midnight on Adult Swim, streaming next day on Max.

Created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, the Emmy-winning stop-motion sketch series is taking its signature pop-culture parody engine and turning it directly onto Adult Swim’s own legendary library of original series.

Murder Mystery on the High Seas

The special sets up a classic whodunit plot aboard a luxury cruise ship filled with fan-favorite characters spanning the network’s 25-year history.

The trailer offers a fast-paced look at the guest list, featuring appearances and crossover gags with icons from across the Adult Swim pantheon.

As a rogue tsunami strikes the vessel, a murder mystery unfolds, forcing the crew of classic and modern animation icons to navigate chaotic courtrooms, high-seas disaster tropes, and typical Robot Chicken absurdities.
