Overview
Juzo has been enjoying a peaceful school life, but that ends when Kazuma and Eiji transfer in, bringing the total number of assassins infiltrating his middle school to four. Meanwhile, the Home Ec Club holds a serious ramen-making contest. Paired with Noren, Juzo heads out to research ramen shops and saves a girl from being hit by a truck. But just who is she?
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, the story continues as Juzo welcomes new transfer students Kazuma and Eiji while the school’s growing population of assassins leads to the creation of a hitman summit. Meanwhile, the episode shifts focus toward Tamada, a member of the Home Economics Club who struggles with being constantly treated like a child because of her appearance. Through her interactions with Juzo, Tenma, and Kyosuke, she begins to gain more confidence in herself. The episode also delivers plenty of comedy through the chaotic ramen competition between Shin and Noren, only for both of their over-the-top creations to end in failure. The final moments introduce a mysterious girl with a surprising ability, setting up more questions heading into next week’s season finale.
The rest of the proceedings continues to balance its absurd humor with surprisingly heartfelt character moments. such as a subplot where Juzo helps a short character named Tamada learn to accept herself, while the expanding cast of eccentric assassins makes the school setting feel increasingly chaotic in the best way. The rivalry between Shin and Noren leads to some hilarious moments, and the introduction of another mysterious character adds an intriguing layer as the season approaches its conclusion…
Overall, this was another entertaining episode that highlights the series’ unique blend of comedy, action, and character-driven moments. While the pacing may feel unusual with new elements being introduced right before the finale, the cast remains enjoyable, and the story continues to build curiosity around its larger mysteries. With next week marking the season finale, this episode leaves plenty of anticipation for how the remaining threads will come together.
