English Dub Review: Kill Blue “DEATH OR KISS”
Overview
After Kazuma’s hypnosis makes Noren fall deeply for Juzo, she launches an all-out attack on his heart. But when Juzo gently turns her down, she tries to jump from the roof! Desperate to undo the spell, Juzo takes Noren to meet Kazuma at an amusement park, only to end up alone with her on a Ferris wheel, where things take a dangerously romantic turn?!
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, Juzo continues trying to keep his distance from Noren as his situation at school becomes increasingly chaotic. Ryo is still irritated by Juzo’s involvement in recent social messes. At the same time, at Z.O.O., Eri grows curious about Juzo’s brief reversion to his adult body and has Kotatsu gather details about what might have triggered it. Meanwhile, Noren’s behavior becomes increasingly intense due to the ongoing hypnosis, forcing Kazuma to step in and take action by arranging a meeting that leads the group into an unexpected outing.
The rest of the proceedings lean into a mix of comedy and discomfort as Juzo is dragged through a series of awkward, over-the-top situations while others around him react in their own ways to the chaos. Eri’s fascination with Juzo’s condition adds a lighter investigative thread, and the mystery behind his temporary transformation remains unresolved. The tone shifts frequently between absurd humor and uneasy character dynamics without fully settling on either.
Overall, the episode resolves the immediate hypnosis situation and restores the status quo while keeping the larger mysteries intact, including Juzo’s brief return to adulthood. It balances chaotic comedy with uncomfortable moments and sets the stage for the final stretch of the season. Make sure to stay after the credits for a short comedic scene, and with only two episodes left, the season is clearly heading toward its endgame.
