English Dub Review: Snowball Earth “Wounds You Can Face”
Overview:
With the help of other Mall residents, Yukio’s repairs are complete, and he returns to the battlefield as Snowball Rampart, with an enhanced right arm! A rematch with his bitter enemy, Hercules, begins. As Sagami manages to evade all of their attacks, Tetsuo and Yukio try to find a way to flip the script! The battle between the Mishima Mall and Vierde is about to reach its climax!
Our Take(Spoilers):
Why does it seem like a vast number of anime/manga villains have some time-seeing power? In this case, Sagami can see a few seconds into the future, up to ten seconds, though if he does that, it causes damage. There is a limit to this power, and apparently, he can’t read what a machine will do. After Sagami squeezes Aoi to break some bones, Tetsuo gets mad and charges, playing right into his hands.
For some reason, I hadn’t realized that Yukio could control himself at times, and Tesuo didn’t need to do anything. He lets Yukio do a lot of the moving at the tail end of the fight to gain an advantage, and it seems like he killed Sagami. If he did that probably means that he created a whole bunch of enemies among the kids who followed Sagami. They were brainwashed and would have followed him anyway, but still.
Speaking of Testuo, I want to shout out Griffin Burns, who voices him. I haven’t been the biggest fan of his because he seems to always voice the same types of characters. They’re always whiny guys, and Tetsuo starts the same. But as Tetsuo has grown, his voice has changed as well, and it has led me to realize I might need to seek out more of Griffin’s work because I’m a fan of him in this show for sure.
