‘Rick and Morty’ Season 9 Sets November Release Date for Blu-ray and DVD

Multiverse misadventures are officially heading to your physical media shelf. Hot on the heels of its highly anticipated television premiere, Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced that “Rick and Morty: The Complete Ninth Season” will release on Blu-ray and DVD on November 3, 2026.

The home entertainment release ensures that fans of Adult Swim’s number-one series will be able to relive every chaotic dimension, existential crisis, and sci-fi gag at their own leisure. The physical sets will bundle all 10 episodes of the ninth season alongside exclusive, yet-to-be-announced bonus features only available on the disc formats.

“Grade A Organic Slop”

Following its Sunday premiere, Season 9 is promising to lean heavily into the series’ trademark self-aware, irreverent humor. The official synopsis jokingly promises fans a season of “certified bangers” with absolutely “no AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts.” The series continues to feature its updated but firmly established voice cast. Ian Cardoni returns as the cynical genius Rick Sanchez, alongside Harry Belden as his anxious grandson Morty Smith. Rounding out the dysfunctional Smith family are returning favorites Sarah Chalke (Beth), Chris Parnell (Jerry), and Spencer Grammer (Summer). The season is executive produced by co-creator Dan Harmon and showrunner Scott Marder.

Where to Watch in the Meantime

For fans who can’t wait until November to get their physical copies, the ninth season is already rolling out globally across 170 countries in 42 languages.

  • Digital Purchase: Episodes are currently available to buy digitally on major platforms—including Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube—the day after they premiere on Adult Swim.

  • Streaming: For U.S. subscribers waiting to stream the episodes as part of a subscription, Season 9 will begin its weekly streaming rollout on June 15, 2026.

A Growing Multiverse

The announcement of the Season 9 physical release comes during an incredibly busy era for the Rick and Morty franchise. Adult Swim shows no signs of slowing down on its flagship IP; just last week, news broke that a Rick and Morty feature film is in early development. This is addition to President Curtis, an upcoming spin-off series focusing on the show’s chaotic Commander-in-Chief (voiced by Keith David) that was announced last summer.

Whether you plan to collect the season digitally week-by-week or wait to grab the Blu-ray set this fall, Rick and Morty’s ninth year is shaping up to be one of their biggest yet. Mark your calendars for November 3 to bring the Smith family’s latest universe-ending escapades home.
