English Dub Review: You and I Are Polar Opposites “Class Trip(Part 2)”

Overview:

On the second day of the class trip, Nishi gets a message from Yamada saying, “I want to see you.” She heads out and finally realizes her true feelings. On the last day of the trip, Tani and Suzuki enjoy their time at a theme park, but Tani stops her from leaving and says, “I want to spend a little more time with you.”

Our Take(Spoilers):

I was sad when we didn’t get an episode last week for a few reasons. Most importantly, I was sad not to get an episode because this is one of my favorite shows of the season. But also, last week was AnimeJapan 2026, and a second season for You, and I Are Polar Opposites was announced. We won’t have to wait long because it is set to premiere on July 5th! We got a simuldub with the first season, so let’s hope that we get the same treatment in July.

All the side couples get a little more focus in this episode, but that doesn’t mean we leave Tani and Suzuki behind. They have their own cute moments, and while they’re great, I would say the cutest moments go to Nishi and Taira.

Nishi started to stand up for her feelings and went up to Yamada, and spent some time with him. This led to them hanging out that evening. I’ll be surprised if they’re not a couple soon. I’d like to say the cute moment with Taira involved Azuma. While she was there, it was Taira buying a soda to try and help settle Tani’s stomach that was so cute. Taira has a hard time showing concern for friends, and I loved seeing him let his guard down a bit.
