Picking up from the previous episode, the latest installment is filled with a series of misunderstandings as Kihachi and Inako struggle to communicate their feelings while also helping Kengo with his complicated relationship with Noriko. The romantic drama takes center stage, with the characters finally being more honest about their feelings and what they want moving forward. Meanwhile, Yosuke continues digging deeper into the catalog and the secrets surrounding Seiroku.
The rest of the proceedings does a good job balancing its character drama with the ongoing mystery, though some of the romantic conflicts feel more drawn out than necessary. Kihachi and Inako’s interactions remain enjoyable, while the developing relationship between Kengo and Noriko provides some emotional moments. The episode also introduces some amusing comedic moments, even if not all of them land equally well.
