English Dub Review: Tougen Anki “Until We Meet Again”

Overview:

After the battle, everyone must re-evaluate their destiny and the next steps that need to be taken.

Our Take(Spoilers):

I don’t know if the knowledge that Shiki doesn’t have pubic hair is a spoiler, but I tagged it just in case. Jokes aside, there are a few spoilers I’ll be discussing, and I thought I would give a warning in a fun way.

One thing I was happy about was that it seems like Shiki and Mikado have buried the hatchet and, at the very least, aren’t enemies anymore. Shiki and his friends were leaving Tokyo, and Mikado showed up. Not to fight but to say goodbye, and it feels like they might work things out in the future.

I didn’t think that I would ever say this, but I’m glad we got confirmation of a second season. This show was not very good to me at first, but as we got going into the second main arc, it grew on me a little more. So, I’m hoping that the second season will carry that momentum and it will become even better.

As for this episode, I enjoyed it because we got closure on some things, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t all doom and gloom. It could have been a lot worse, and there was the feeling of optimism. The season review will be an interesting one.
