Top Crossovers ‘Hazbin Hotel’ Fans Would Like To See

Fans of Hazbin Hotel have often wondered what it would be like if Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano’s characters got the chance to meet characters from other works. in fact, the team has even teased an upcoming crossover in the works.
Some fans want to see Charlie meet with characters from other popular animated horror shows, while others want Charlie to meet up with characters whom she already has a bit in common. Of course, those ideas aren’t mutually exclusive. Granted, some crossovers are less likely than others. That said, just because a show has ended long ago, or even if the show is aimed at another audience, it doesn’t mean a crossover can’t happen.

A Helluva Boss Crossover Has Already Been Teased

Hazbin Hotel already has a sister-series of sorts, VivziePop’s Helluva Boss, which takes place in the same universe. This series follows Blitzo and his cohorts as they make up I.M.P., taking on various revenge jobs on behalf of the deceased.
Brandon Rogers, who voices Bltiz, is also part of the Hazbin Hotel cast as Katie Killjoy. In fact, in a conversation with Collider, he even talked about a planned crossover between the show, noting that things can go in all sorts of directions. As he shared, “There are so many more factors that I think people aren’t considering with how these two shows can collide.”
VivziePop herself was also asked about the crossover, particularly if this was a one-off thing or something that truly ties the shows together. However, at the time, she simply teased, “I cannot say.”

Haunted Hotel Also Offers A Similar Setting, Albeit In New York

'Haunted Hotel' - Netflix
‘Haunted Hotel’ – Netflix
In Haunted Hotel, Katherine inherits a New York hotel from her late brother Nathan. The place is filled with ghosts, including Nathan himself. Along for the ride are her kids and Abaddon, an ancient demon who is trapped in the body of a little boy from the 18th century. When it comes to a hotel for ghosts and a hotel for demons, the networking opportunities are just untapped.
Earth-bound ghosts could bring up some awkward questions in the world of Hazbin Hotel. According to Helluva Boss, the residents of the underworld don’t quite believe in them. On the other hand, Abaddon could relate to the residents of the hotel, having his own hotel-related redemption arc. Added to that, jokes about Abaddon somehow knowing the residents of Hell, who have no recollection of him, practically write themselves. Nobody in Abaddon’s section of Hades remembers him, either. Well, either that or he wasn’t as popular as he remembers.

Another Possible Purgatory Exists In Over The Garden Wall

'Over the Garden Wall' = Cartoon Network
‘Over the Garden Wall’ = Cartoon Network
Over the Garden Wall is a Cartoon Network series practically made in the spirit of the spooky season. Brothers Greg and Wirt find themselves in a strange forest known as the Unknown. Soon, they encounter all sorts of supernatural beings, including talking bluebirds, living skeletons, good and bad witches, and the mysterious figure known as the Beast.
Originally, the series explicitly took place in the afterlife, with the brothers eventually learning it wasn’t quite their time yet. Thanks to this, the story has often been compared to Dante’s The Divine Comedy, with fans treating the Unknown as some sort of Purgatory. Either way, throughout the story, the brothers learn not to judge by appearances. The scariest characters might be the ones trying to help them, and vice versa. A cheery princess of Hell would fit right into the show’s mythos.

Invader Zim, Or At Least His Voice, Should Be Close By

'Invader Zim' - Nickelodeon
‘Invader Zim’ – Nickelodeon
Invader Zim might have come and gone quickly when it premiered in the early 2000s, but it quickly made an impression on animation fans, inspiring a lot of later works. Zim helped pave the way for a lot of dark cartoons. In fact, Vivzipop is known to be a fan of the series, with it being an influence on Hazbin Hotel.
Invader Zim is also a series that has popped up from time to time. Notably, fans got to see a movie released on streaming, Enter the Florpus, in 2019. If such a crossover were to happen, Zim’s voice actor, Richard Steven Horvitz, shouldn’t be too hard to find. He plays Moxxie on Helluva Boss.

Gravity Falls Proved All Sorts Of Audiences Can Appreciate A Spooky Show

'Gravity Falls' = The Disney Channel
‘Gravity Falls’ = The Disney Channel
The Disney Channel has occasionally dipped its toe into the horror genre, and one of its most famous animated examples is Gravity Falls, which sees the Pines twins encounter a number of supernatural entities while staying with their Grunkle Stan over the summer.
Fans have often compared the characters from the two series. In particular, sweet, cheery Charlie and the more down-to-earth Vaggie offer a similar study in contrast to Mabel and Dipper. In addition, one simply has to wonder about what kind of clout Bill Cipher must have down below. Should such a crossover happen, Gravity Falls fans know Alex Hirsch would certainly be voicing someone.

The Owl House Also Features Characters Wanting To Head Off To New Horizons

'The Owl House' = The Disney Channel
‘The Owl House’ = The Disney Channel
The Owl House is another fantasy series from Disney, in which a girl named Luz finds a portal to the Boiling Isles, a land filled with witches and all sorts of supernatural creatures. She then starts her journey to become a spell-caster, all the while starting a revolution to save this new world from sinister forces. With Luz’s tendency to find herself in fantastic places, quite a few fans are curious to see what an adventure for her and her friends in the afterlife could entail.
Demons have a tricky role in the series, existing as different kinds, to the point where one of the characters spends most of the series thinking they are one. Of course, should such a crossover happen, fans would also like to wonder what kind of role Titans would have in the show’s universe. After all, fans have long wondered about just who the angels are working for in Hazbin Hotel, with one of the only hints of their famous boss being His Speaker being in the cast.

Some Fans Are Curious About Charlie Getting To Meet The Ghost With The Most, Beetlejuice

'Beetlejuice' - ABC_Fox
‘Beetlejuice’ – ABC/Fox
Beetlejuice is a cartoon adaptation of the 1988 film of the same name. The 90s cartoon notably portrayed the titular ghost at his nicest, with him actually being friends with Lydia. The cartoon was a little unclear if Beetlejuice was ever human or had been “born” a ghost, though the opening famously showed him jumping out of his own bug-infested grave.
Beetlejuice is a character that keeps popping up in all sorts of places, especially in recent years. The ghost with the most even appeared on a Halloween special for Teen Titans Go! back in 2020. While he was patterned more off of the Broadway version of the character, this did show there’s still a place for him in animation. It also helps that Hazbin Hotel already has Broadway’s Beetlejuice, Alex Brightman, who also voiced his Teen Titans Go! appearance, as part of its voice cast.

Charlie Probably Could Give Casper The Friendly Ghost Some Competition As Animation’s Friendliest Star

'Casper the Friendly Ghost' - ABC
‘Casper the Friendly Ghost’ – ABC
It’s hard to talk about animated afterlives with one of animation’s first famous spirits: Casper the Friendly Ghost. Admittedly, it could be a bit of a stretch. Much like most animated ghosts, it’s never been made clear if he’s actually a dead kid, that 90s movie notwithstanding, or if ghosts are just some sort of spooky cousin to elves. Admittedly, with his desire to make friends, he doesn’t seem like the best candidate to hang out with the residents of Hell.
However, Casper and Charlie actually have a lot of common. The friendly ghost and the princess of Hell both come from a dark, scary world that they want to brighten up in their own special way. Besides, Casper might not be that out of place in the underworld. He might be the ultimate goody-two-shoes, but he’s already friends with Wendy and Hot Stuff, a literal witch and devil.

Whether Or Not HUNTR/X Would Enjoy A Trip Down Below, The Potential Music Would Be Legendary

'KPop Demon Hunters' - Netflix
‘KPop Demon Hunters’ – Netflix
KPop Demon Hunters is a movie, not a series, but some fans are curious what adventures the members of Huntrix, often stylized as “HUNTR/X,” would have if they faced the characters of Hazbin Hotel. Music, hidden histories, and even characters dealing with their demonic heritage, as well as love and friendship being forged in the darkest of places, all feature greatly into both stories.
Granted, the “demons” of Hazbin Hotel aren’t quite the same demons the members of Huntrix fight against, more resembling creatures of Korean mythology like dokkaebi, but this is the perfect setup for a comedy of errors.
More importantly, with a show that boasts multiple musical numbers each episode, a Kpop-themed episode certainly has potential. it also helps that the demon hunters have had a long history, long before Rumi, Mira, and Zoey’s time, with different styles of music.
