English Dub Review: Tougen Anki “Not So Bad”
Overview:
A kidnapping, a hostage, and a secret plan intertwine in an attempt to find Shiki’s whereabouts.
Our Take:
This episode was a lot of fun, probably the best episode to date. There were a couple of things that led to me feeling that way, so let’s get into it! First, I’d like to shout out a VA that I don’t see mentioned a whole lot, and that’s Khoi Dao. He voices Jin Kogasaki in this show, and that’s a different character than I’m used to for him. The first role I heard him in was when he played Rei Kiriyama in March Comes in Like a Lion. Which is a great show if you haven’t seen it, but if you have seen it, then you know that Kiriyama is the exact opposite of Kogasaki, and I think this show’s off Dao’s range.
Speaking of Kogasaki, it seems like he might finally be coming around to the idea of trusting Shiki. They went into a burning building to save some people, and of course, some flaming timber fell on Kogasaki, but he trusted that Shiki would come back to save him.
My favorite part was when Shiki got a phone call from Mikado while he was with Kogasaki. Since Momoiwa can see through Kogasaki’s eyes, he notices that Shiki is on the phone with Mikado. It was a cool way for him to figure out that Mikado knows Shiki; he just doesn’t “know” it. Ya know?

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
