English Dub Review: Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon “Another Uproar”

Overview

Plans to tackle the Everlasting stratum are put on hold when a large horde of monsters attacks the village.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, the story has now shifted into a more action-heavy direction as Boxxo and the others prepare for the dangerous journey into the mysterious Everlasting Stratum, an unexplored lower level said to take an entire year to cross. With the looming threat of the Netherlord hanging over them, tensions rise even further after Kayolings unexpectedly escapes prison, and a massive monster horde surrounds the village. Rather than waiting to be overwhelmed, the group coordinates a large-scale counterattack, showcasing some surprisingly fun teamwork and creative combat moments while reinforcing how dependable Boxxo has become to everyone around him.

The rest of the proceedings bring balance to its larger battles with steady progression for Boxxo himself, as his growing abilities continue to evolve in increasingly bizarre yet entertaining ways. From supplying villagers with food and weapons to unleashing powerful new forms during combat, the series once again leans into the absurdity of its premise while still making Boxxo feel genuinely useful in high-stakes situations. The aftermath of the battle also hints at even stranger upgrades ahead, adding a layer of anticipation as the cast finally begins their expedition into the Everlasting Stratum.

Overall, this was an energetic and satisfying episode that blended comedy, dungeon adventure, and surprisingly solid action better than expected. The large-scale monster fight gave nearly every character a chance to contribute, while Boxxo’s newest upgrades kept the series’ ridiculous charm intact without losing momentum. With the Everlasting Stratum finally within reach and lingering mysteries still unresolved, the episode does a strong job building excitement for what comes next.
