English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “Destiny”

Overview:

The Manga Club rallies around a devastated Aria after she breaks the news. Fortunately, Okumura can’t help but feel there’s more to the story than what Aria overheard.

Our Take(Spoilers):

I was hoping that Aria wouldn’t join the harem, but after what Okumura did for her in this episode, I can see a path towards it now. The spoiler I have to mention is the fact that Aria’s father isn’t actually dead. He used the way that her father draws ears in his manga as a signature to locate him. Turns out that he has a pen name now and is the writer and artist of the Liliel spinoff manga that everyone in the group is cosplaying. Mikari announcing that she was going to be cosplaying at Comiket was what they needed to get the most eyes on it and get Aria’s father to see.

It was funny how Okumura was on the train with all the girls, and when other otaku came on, at first, they were jealous. But then they looked at the smile on Okumura’s face and realized that was the face of someone who only loves 2-D girls. I don’t know HOW they knew that, but it was funny and he more or less confirmed it by looking at them and smiling.
