Wonder Studios Unveils First AI-Generated Anthology Film, Beyond the Loop

Wonder Studios, a UK-based AI creative studio, has launched the first film in its four-part anthology series, Beyond the Loop. The project is being hailed as the first series of its kind to be created by an “AI-native film studio.” The anthology was developed in collaboration with several AI pioneers, including ElevenLabs, Fal, Freepik, and Kling AI, who are credited as executive producers on the series.

The first film, titled “Memory Maker,” is now available on YouTube. Created by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Nik Kleverov, it is set in a post-apocalyptic world where advanced androids have taken over. The story follows a “memory maker” who crafts vivid memories to give androids a sense of what it means to be human. The characters and visuals in the drama are entirely AI-generated.

According to a company spokesperson, the anthology represents Wonder Studios’ mission to empower emerging talent and break down traditional barriers in filmmaking. The company claims that AI tools significantly reduce the cost and time of high-end production, allowing creators to focus on their creative vision rather than a large budget.

The anthology series is a showcase for the capabilities of the partner AI companies. ElevenLabs provided AI voice generation, Fal delivered fast generative media processing, Freepik offered visual content creation tools, and Kling AI was responsible for generating the cinema-grade video content. The remaining three episodes of Beyond the Loop will be released on a biweekly basis, with each created by a different filmmaker or group.
