This time around, Sakuta Azusagawa returns in a new chapter of his life, now navigating the world of university at Kanazawa-Hakkei. While adjusting to campus life, he reconnects with familiar faces and meets intriguing new ones, including an eccentric fellow student who seems unusually perceptive about his past. Even outside the classroom, the oddities that once shaped his high school experience appear to persist. There’s an undercurrent suggesting that the strange and supernatural isn’t quite behind him yet…

Set months after Sakuta’s previous adventures, this new arc refreshingly reintroduces the series in episodic form, and it blends character dynamics with a more mature setting. Though the tone still balances humor, heart, and the surreal, this installment gently hints at the next emotional mystery on the horizon. 

Overall, this episode marks a thoughtful and intriguing return to the world of Rascal Does Not Dream. With subtle callbacks, a renewed atmosphere, and the quiet emergence of a new mystery, the series proves it hasn’t lost its charm.
