The legendary Mayura has returned, and now two Queens of Cosplay square off during the photoshoot.

Nanami’s backstory is understandable and a little sad. I think we’ve all dealt with self-image issues at one time or another. She thought she was ugly and one day decided to cosplay, which got her a lot of attention and made her great at it. She was asked if she would like to be a professional cosplayer, and who would say no to getting paid to do one of their favorite things? I think everyone is a little worried that if they start getting paid to do something they love, they’ll stop loving the thing. I was afraid of that when I took this job. Unfortunately for Nanami, it seems like she has lost her passion a little bit, and I could be wrong, but it seems like Ririsa might help bring that back.
Mayura might be one of the best anime teachers in recent memory. She planned on never cosplaying again, but when her student needed help, she got back into it. Not only did she rekindle her love of cosplay and buy time for Ririsa to get changed, but I think she was also responsible for lighting a spark under Nanami. I’m still waiting for Nanami to see Okumura and freak out when she finds out he’s Ririsa’s photographer.
