Our Take
After a long-ass hiatus due to some quality control issues, we’re finally back after the previous episode. As the story quickly shifts into gear with a visit to the lavish Lou Erz Palace, where tensions run high beneath the surface of royal hospitality. Familiar characters reunite in a setting that blends elegant surroundings with subtle unease, setting the tone for what’s to come.
The rest of the proceedings weaves together moments of comedy, rivalry, and subtle intrigue as different factions subtly maneuver around each other. While some scenes lean into playful fan service and quirky dynamics, there’s also a mounting sense of political unease lurking in the background. Character interactions feel sharper than ever, highlighting personal conflicts, veiled intentions, and underlying tensions between sisters who don’t see eye to eye, both figuratively and literally.
Overall, the episode strikes a lively balance between light-hearted antics and serious developments, giving longtime viewers plenty to enjoy without diving too deep into heavy plot reveals. While animation quality may still be inconsistent for some, the character chemistry and thematic buildup and escalation more than makes up for it. And hopefully we can see where it all leads to, for better or worse…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
