Aria and friends desperately search for Lily and Feri. According to Vulcan, the Earl of Gladstone is rumored to be kidnapping young, beautiful women.

Our Take

Picking up from the previous episode, Aria and her crew investigate a troubling situation involving mysterious disappearances. Their search leads them into a suspicious encounter with a local authority figure, and what starts as a formal meeting soon reveals deeper, more unsettling motives. Meanwhile, a sudden magical threat throws the town into chaos, forcing the group to act quickly and decisively. 

The rest of the proceedings attempt to balance intrigue, action, and character-driven moments, but the execution is mixed. Visually, the animation dips in quality at times, especially during action sequences, while the tone occasionally struggles to juggle serious themes with lighter, more comedic beats… 

Overall, it’s a somewhat uneven entry that still manages to deliver moments of payoff and character charm. There are flashes of clever storytelling and satisfying character moments, but other moments feel rushed, and certain emotional moments that could’ve elevated the episode are glossed over in favor of moving the plot forward. Hopefully the next episode will top this…
