English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”(Loneliness) Separated”

Overview:

Freya’s control was never absolute. There will always be those who slip through the cracks and cannot accept the new status quo.

Our Take:

There are a couple of people who managed to avoid Freya’s spell, Ryuu is one of them and her confrontation with Freya was something else. Freya has a bit of a soft spot for Ryuu because of their time working together when Freya was Syr. I did not expect her to offer to share Bell with Ryuu, asking her to bear “their” child. This makes me wonder if the gods and goddesses cannot have children of their own and that might be why they consider all mortals their “children”. Ryuu declined this offer and is now on her way to Freya’s dungeon.

One character I have a lot of interest in is Mamma Mia. Who is she? Freya’s charm didn’t work on her and she’s always seemed powerful. I don’t think I missed her backstory episode but with a lot of her workers being involved in this arc, I hope we get to see something from her.

What Bell is going through doesn’t quite make sense to me. If Freya loves him so much why is he being put through the ringer the way he is? This boy is getting beat up and “killed” just about every day. I understand it’s how the Freya familia trains their people but isn’t Bell Freya’s true love?
