Review: The Loud House “Welcome to the Doll House; Let’s Break a Deal”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
The Louds try to steal back a doll that got traded before one of their siblings get home. Later, one of the Louds’ friends makes a deal with the devil to date a girl who looks unnervingly similar to him.
OUR TAKE
Tonight is our only double feature of this batch of episodes, with the first episode focusing on youngest sibling Lily accidently trading the unicorn stuffed animal of her older sister Lola to a friend and tasking some of her siblings to do a heist to get the doll back, which I was surprised to find out was not the entirety of the siblings. It does a good job in highlighting the differences between each sister as they go through each stage of the plan to get the doll back, which does eventually work, and it’s a fun episode overall. The other episode, oddly enough, doesn’t really focus on the Loud family (only goth kid Lucy gets a small role) and instead on some friends of theirs, which I guess is something that happens when you’re on the seventh season and need episode ideas. This one was definitely the worst of the two, mainly because Rusty is kind of a dork and it’s very weird that he wants to date a girl who looks like a Rule 63 version of him. But at least I got to hear Richard Horvitz play a kid named Morpheus, which is the kind of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon bit of knowledge that I need to win at Trivia Night. And that’s one night down out of eight with three more to come this very week and another four more the following week! And then after that, a whole friggin movie in just a couple weeks! See ya tomorrow for more Loud House!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
