English Dub Review: BUCCHIGIRI?! “Much Much Friendship! ‘Nira-Reba’-lution 21!”
Overview:
The war breaks out between Minato Kai and Siguma. The NG Boys are also waiting for their chance to strike.
Our Take:
Minato Kai and Siguma brawl with each other, with the main fight being between the two leaders. Naturally, Shindo and the rest of the NG boys are waiting for an opportunity to beat up both gangs. They do so after everyone’s already pretty banged up.
Shindo has a face-off with Arajin until he starts taking out the gang members. He really puts a number on Matakara. Shindo is about to go after the leaders when Mahoro gets in his way. This is when Arajin gets serious and fights Shindo himself.
This episode shows the origin of Siguma, as well as the beginning of Marito’s rivalry with Kenichiro. I suppose it’s nice to see how everything began, but this honestly gets overshadowed by Arajin’s actions later on.
I’m starting to lose hope with Arajin. He watches as Shindo beats the hell out of Arataka and he doesn’t even attempt to step in. When Shindo sets his sights on Mahoro, he doesn’t hesitate to help her. She just shut him down again right before that, which made him sad. He quickly went from having nothing to fight for to putting himself on the line for a girl who wants nothing to do with him. I guess that could change after this heroic act, but I doubt it.
At least Arajin does help Matakara after the fight since he can’t walk on his own. That’s a little bit of improvement, but it doesn’t change the fact that he just left his childhood friend hanging while he was getting pulverized.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
