English Dub Review: The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil “The Foolish Angel and the Demon”

Overview:

Akutsu Masatora transfers to a new school, where he falls for the beautiful and kind Amane Lily on sight. But Akutsu has a dark secret, and a mission… and Lily might be more than meets the eye, as well!

Our Take:

This is giving me some serious The Devil is a Part-Timer vibes but with some more BDSM than most might be comfortable with but not this guy! I am interested to see where this goes because I have to be honest I was not expecting a servant/slave type of relationship between an angel and a demon. I was expecting more of a rom-com vibe but got blasted with an ecchi series instead. Meanwhile, the series that I thought was going to be nothing but fanservice, Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, is surprisingly wholesome so far.

I’m wondering if the action is going to be good but so far it’s at least an interesting concept. I’m also reminded of High School DxD with this series. I’d never heard of it before but one thing I love about this job is getting to try out anime I might have never tried before. Not quite sure where this might end up going but at the very least I’m interested.
