English Dub Review: The Ancient Magus’ Bride “The show must go on.”
Overview:
Philomela stands against Lizbeth in a final battle of wills.
Our Take:
Now the first five to ten minutes of the episode were anything but cozy. Lizbeth needed to be dealt with first and the thing I really appreciated was that it didn’t take most of the episode to settle that particular issue. I like a little time to decompress from an especially traumatizing arc and this was definitely traumatizing.
I don’t know if it gets cold and snowy where you live but it’s been pretty snowy here and seeing everyone all snuggled up and cozy indoors was really comforting. But I would have to say that the most comforting thing was finally getting to see Philomela smile, laugh, and be happy. She deserves happiness after everything she’s been through and I’m glad this didn’t lead to some sort of tragic end.
I’m pretty sure we are going to get more of this series and I really hope it picks up right where this left off. Chise has built up quite the friend group and I would love to see some more slice of life with this group now that they all (mostly) get along.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
