Disney+ Teases Marvel What If? Season Three With Sneak Peek
Executive Producer Brad Winderbaum has said that he would like HIS series Marvel What If…? to average a new season each year and if this teaser is any indication then it looks as though Disney+ is readying a third season of the anthology series to premiere sometime later this year.
That said, story editor Matthew Chauncey takes over as head writer for the third season. Fortunately, a Red Guardian-centered episode written by Bradley that was intended for the second season will appear in the third. The other thing to note is that we had 50 MCU actors return to reprise their roles from films to guest stars in the show’s first season, cut in almost half to 30 in the show’s second season leaving one to wonder if season three will have a similar drop off?
In the meantime, here’s a “look into the future”.
Synopsis:
Marvel Studios’ “What If…?” flips the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities, “What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more. Debuting exclusively on Disney+ on Aug. 11, 2021, “What If… ?” features of voice of Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher. Marvel Studios’ first-ever animated series also features the voices of a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles in the MCU—though their characters’ journeys promise to be wildly unique.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
