English Dub Review: Reign of the Seven Spellblades “Salvadori”
Overview:
As everyone heads deeper beneath the academy, Godfrey and Carlos think back to Ophelia’s past.
Our Take:
To be clear I was wrong about this being a two-cour series. I did some research and saw that it was just a fifteen-episode-long season and it was odd to me so I just assumed it was going to keep going. I’m sad that we aren’t for sure getting more but these last couple of episodes have been really good, especially this one.
Ophelia Salvadori got her backstory (heh that rhymed) and in typical anime fashion, it was a tragic one. Well… mostly tragic because seeing Godfrey hit himself in the nuts over and over until he could be around Ophelia was hilarious. She apparently emits a scent that arouses most men and in order to not be like that around her Godfrey hit himself in the groin. What a determined guy to go through that just to be around someone. That’s why I was rooting for a romance between the two but as luck would have it not everyone respected Ophelia and things turned tragic. There is still hope for it I suppose but something tells me this is going to have a tragic end and beginning.
