English Dub Review: Masamune-kun’s Revenge R “I’m Not Going to Fall in Love with You, Pig’s Foot”

Overview: 

Yoshino tells Masamune exactly what happened in their past and then convinces him to stop Gasou from getting too close to Aki.

Our Take(Spoilers):

Masamune’s plans for revenge have taken quite a turn. Unless this is your first rom-com I think we all thought that eventually, Masamune would abandon his revenge because he would actually for Aki but this throws in the biggest wrinkle. Turns out it wasn’t Aki at all that called him “Pig’s Foot” and betrayed him, it was Yoshino.

I was actually proud of Yoshino because Masamune trusts her so much that when she said “It’s not true” about her being the one Masamune believed her. But she came clean about everything and let him know that it was her and her plan is that Masamune would fall for Aki and she could begin to atone for what happened.

Huge shout out to Jessie James Grelle, they really know how to bring it at the right times. You could hear the frustration and anguish in Masamune’s voice because of how well Jessie does. I can’t think of a time I’ve ever been disappointed in the work they put in when it comes to bringing a character to life.
