English Dub Review: Urusei Yatsura “SEALED WITH A KISS!!”

Overview: 

Lum ain’t the only alien princess in town. The new arrival has her sights set on a certain boy — but her vassals are keeping a scandalous secret from their ruler!

Our Take:

I keep waiting for this to get better but they just keep introducing more annoying characters. Kurama is the latest one to be introduced but I will give her the benefit of the doubt. It seems like she’s going to go on a journey to find a true lover as opposed to sticking to a dumb tradition. If that’s true and we don’t see her anymore then good for her! She saw the absolute train wreck that is Ataru and got out. But something tells me she is going to find some interest in him for some godforsaken reason.

Speaking of, I understand being super into women but this dude has got it bad to a detrimental degree. Sure it’s all played for laughs which I get but at some point it gets to be annoying more than funny. I was willing to give him a pass because it seemed like he really did love Shinobu and was doing what he could to get Lum to leave him alone to pursue her. But then as soon as a new girl shows up he’s off to chase after her instead. I’m just hoping the character development comes soon.
