English Dub Review: New Saga “Those Who Act Out of Sight”
Overview:
Several unsettling and violent attacks take place across the city of Karan.
Our Take:
I’ve never been stabbed through my forearm before, but I have a feeling that it would bother me a lot more than it did Kyle. I understand it’s a magical world where instantaneous healing is possible, but in the moment, at least I imagine it would hurt like hell. Unfortunately, the demon he tussled with got away, and he was surprised that she ran away. He wasn’t the only one who had to deal with some trouble, as the house that Theron and everyone else were in was attacked as well.
Now that we’ve gotten to know Theron more, he’s become one of my favorite characters. He’s bad-ass when he wants to be, and I loved how he “tortured” one of the assailants they took hostage. He told the prisoner that Liese and Urza would use household items to hurt him and make the wounds hurt even more. If you know Theron’s experience with the girls, you know that might not be too far off. The only thing that bothered me in this episode was a flashback Kyle had. Should I call it a flash-forward? Anyway, when we saw this vision of his past, he looked totally different, and I don’t remember him doing anything to change his face. An animation issue or a story beat, we’ll find out later. Guess we’ll see.
