Harry Chaskin Readies Launch Of Steel Cut Oats Short-Film

You may remember the Steel Cut Oats animated short film that we had helped feature on our Kick List a couple of years ago, and it looks as though Harry Chaskin has completed production and is readying a release on Feb 2nd.

Steel Cut Oats is a stop-motion/live-action short film about a wounded boxer who builds a giant monster out of oatmeal. Says director and creator Harry Chaskin about the upcoming short,

“Produced almost entirely in my garage over the last several years, it’s a stop-motion/live-action love letter to the films of Ray Harryhausen, employing every old school animation technique you can think of”.

The animated short-film stars Rachel Bloom, Brian George, and Payam Banifaz as part of the cast.
