English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “A man who cannot command himself will always be a slave.”

Overview:

Ryuen goes all in on his quest to find the Class D mastermind. Even resorting to torturing a girl as means to find out what he wants to know. Does Ayanokoji even care?

Our Take:

If you had “waterboarding” on your anime bingo sheet then you are probably pretty happy with today’s episode. If you didn’t then you might be feeling a tiny bit uncomfortable. I know I was but luckily I think that was the point. We have gotten close to Karuiazawa this season and we don’t want to see anything bad happen to her. I just hope that even though he doesn’t have a use for her anymore that Ayanokoji still comes to her rescue somehow. I don’t know how he would find out but it’s Ayanokoji so he has to right?

Ryuen is just hellbent on finding the mastermind. It has gotten to the point that he enjoys it. I don’t know how many people he’s tortured in the past but he definitely has found himself a new hobby. He really enjoyed it and now I don’t think he can be redeemed. Here’s to hoping Ayanokoji comes and puts the screw to him next week.
