English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “The Girl at the Door for a Date”

Overview:

A group tries to kill Sun Rong when she’s asking Wang Ling out on a date. Lucky for her Wang can subdue them from a distance. Wang agrees to the date or so she thinks…

Our Take:

The Daily Life of the Immortal King continues to delight. It’s weird and crazy and I have no idea what it’s really about but I love it. It has a lot of my favorite things, especially after this episode. Nothing quite gets me into a show like some romance. Wang and Sun go on a date and I think Wang might actually like her too. The issue with an overpowered emotionless protagonist is that it’s hard to tell what they’re thinking.

The animation for this is really crisp. I have become a huge fan of BilliBilli and Haoliners when it comes to donghua. They seem to be the only ones that really animate that side of things but I have even seen them linked to anime as well. I really enjoy this show and hope season two gets dubbed as well.
