English Dub Review: Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It r=1-sinθ “Science-types Fell in Love, So They Tried Having a Campus Festival”

Overview:

When Himuro finds out that Yukimura spends time alone in a room with a high school girl for his part-time home tutoring job, she worries intensely that he might be ogling his student. That student, Haru, isn’t good at studying. Her average score on her end-of-term exams was 38 points. When Yukimura personally witnesses Haru’s father disparaging her as a failure, he… Later, the Mutsumi Festival begins and twin sister cosplayers brimming with youthful energy arrive at the Ikeda Lab’s cosplay experience.

Our Take:

Himuro jumps to conclusions when it comes to Yukimura’s tutoring job. She seems to think he’s ogling a teenager when really he thinks she’s stupid. Or at least that is what we are led to believe until Yukimura goes off in the best way possible. Yukimura is tutoring the daughter of one of his professors whom he respects a lot.

When that professor calls his daughter “stupid” and an “idiot” Yukimura lets him have it. The only reason her scores have gone down so much is because of his bullying. If your own father called you an idiot you would probably believe it. Now that she knows she has Yukimura on her side and her father is beginning to see the error in her ways then maybe things will turn around for her.
