Fashion: South Park X ADIDAS ; Jujutsu Kaisen 0 X Uniqlo

ADIDAS is readying a March 21st drop date for it’s latest addition to the footwear brand’s iconic South Park collection, this one inspired by bit character “Awesome-O”. If you don’t recall, Awesome-O is a robot that comes up with ridiculous ideas for movies, most of which star Adam Sandler. The shoe features a lot aesthetic inspired by the character with the cardboard cut-out looking features colored brown.

It might be odd to think inspired by Awesome-O would make any sense, however, Matt Stone and Trey Parker often point to “Awesom-O” as one of their favorite episodes.

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO will release a UT collaboration collection on Thursday, April 7 in the United States, to commemorate the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 movie, coming to theaters in North America on March 18. JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student, who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend. The film is based on JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 (JUMP COMICS / Shueisha), a prequel manga to the smash hit supernatural adventure series from Gege Akutami. UTs (UNIQLO T-shirts) offer an array of authentic pop culture and art graphics from around the world that allow the wearer to express their individuality. This collection of portrayals of key characters in the film is exclusive to UT.

Like the film, the collection highlights the experiences of characters prior to the television anime series version of JUJUTSU KAISEN. One UT design depicts protagonist Yuta Okkotsu in a poignant scene with childhood friend Rika Orimoto and highlights a ring that he keeps as a memento of their relationship. The collection also shows Satoru Gojo in a fresh white blindfold, a contrast to the black one he wears in the television series, and Suguru Geto, the film’s greatest antagonist. A print on the back of another design features Rika’s curse, cementing the collection as a must-have for fans of the film.
