English Dub Review: Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro “You Seem Pretty Stiff, Senpai/ I’ll Do It For You, Senpai!!”
Overview:
After seeing Senpai get mocked for his inability to run, Nagatoro takes him out jogging to try to whip him into shape. The culture festival is coming up, and Senpai needs something to present for the arts club.
Our Take:
I promise I’m not just saying it was better because a big boobed oniisan was introduced either. It still had a lot of the dumb bullying I hate but there were also a few good moments as well. I think it says a lot about how a show is when one of the best parts of an episode is a Dragonball Z reference. Senpai and Nagatoro were stretching in a way that made it look like they were doing a fusion.
The art club president has made their appearance and as you guessed they are bringing some competition! In more ways than one really. Competition for Nagatoro because it’s clear Senpai at least had feelings for her at one point. And also competition for Senpai because he will have to beat her in the cultural festival to keep the club alive. It was just nice to see Nagatoro stand up for Senpai instead of bullying him all the time.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
