English Dub Review: Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro “Senpai’s Poofball/ Thanks, Senpai!”

Overview:

Nagatoro offers to cut Senpai’s hair. Just as she’s about to get started, she gets a call from her friends, and things take an odd turn. Senpai and Nagatoro line up for ice cream on a scorching summer day.

Our Take:

Well, it’s starting to lean more towards wholesome romance and less towards the bullying aspect. Though from the looks of things it seems like Nagatoro’s friends will pick up the slack in that department. I like her friends and it seems like they just mess with Senpai to get a rise out of Nagatoro. Also, it seems like they are trying to help her realize her feelings but they are still doing some pretty awful things. Attempting to shave someone bald isn’t a playful prank in my eyes.

The voices for her friends are done really well though. Brittany Cox voices Gamou who is like the more mature and smart one I really like her and she does well so far. As for Yoshi (And no I don’t mean the green dinosaur Mario rides) she is voiced by LilyPichu. She is new-ish to the voice acting scene but is a pretty well-known internet personality. I think she fits the character of Yoshi pretty well but we will see how the rest of the series goes.
