Review: The Loud House “Rumor Has It, Training Day”

Overview

“Rumor Has It”

Lincoln and his circle of friends end up being trapped in the woods with their not-so-favorite teacher Mr. Bolhofner, who may not be who he says he is…

“Training Day”

Lana gets more than she bargained for when she takes on a job to tame Stella’s erratic & wild pet bunny…

Our Take

The heart of the story for the first episode is mostly about how damaging untrue rumors easily can change the perception of a person as Bolhofner despite his rough-edged appearance and attitude making him come across as scary, has surprisingly more depth to him than the kids know. But of course, it takes a series of comedic yet contrived set-pieces to get that point across.

As for the other episode, sometimes the solution can be right in front of you, and the way the writers handled this mostly beats into the audience’s heads as it takes a while for Lana to figure out why the Bunny is so violent and unhinged in the first place and the unraveling twist itself begins to slowly make sense.

Overall both were okay episodes, even if things felt a bit contrived with the proceedings of their situations. And the interesting reveal about Lana and Lola as twins is something even I didn’t expect…
