JJ Villard Is Teasing News Concerning Adult Swim’s King Star King
JJ Villard, creator of such fine content as his namesake Fairy Tales, an unnamed Netflix series, and King Star King is teasing some sort of an announcement concerning the latter given that the onetime producer for Shrek has apparently signed an NDA that would preclude him from discussing anything new having to do with the franchise. The Titmouse-animated series originally aired in 2014 for a half-a-dozen episodes before cancellation.
For those that don’t know, the series revolves around the titular character, King Star King (Tommy Blacha): a tall, blond muscular man. After seducing his love, Princess Snow White, he falls from his higher plane of existence to serve as a fry cook in a run-down waffle house. In order to reclaim his place in the heavens, he must battle his amnesia to defeat the evil Spring Bunny and rescue Snow White.
Whether this is a reboot or just additional episodes, this is good news, because we need more of this franchise in any way we can get it.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
