Netflix: “Hoops” Artwork Leaked ; “BoJack Horseman” Creator Leaves Door Open For Revival?

BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg was in an interview with the now pay-gated Vulture where he expanded on some of the things he noted earlier this month about how the show came to its inevitable conclusion and a future that, today, sounds like it’s going to bring any fruits though with time he may be interested in telling stories he already has had in mind.

“You know, it’s a business. They’ve got to do what’s right for them, and six years is a very healthy run for a TV show. Frankly, I’m amazed we got this far. So I can’t complain. I think if we premiered on any other network, or even on Netflix on any other time than when we did, I don’t know if we would’ve gotten the second season…A lot of things on Netflix don’t get second seasons. I think it’s a very busy landscape. It’s hard to make an impression. I think we just got very lucky when we premiered.”

“I don’t want to rule anything out, but I will say, I am very happy with where we leave all the characters at the end of the show. Right now, I’m not itching to tell more stories in this universe, even though there were more stories that I would’ve been happy to tell.”

Producers from Bento Box Entertainment are starting to wrap on the first season of Hoops and as such, let the leaks begin! In this case, it’s producer DVO (Final Space, Bob’s Burgers) who has shared this image of what appears to be artwork for the upcoming new series and has noted the show is set to premiere early next year.

Hoops is an upcoming American adult animation comedy web television series, created by Ben Hoffman, that is set to premiere on Netflix with ten episodes in production.

Hoops follows “a hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach who thinks turning around his God-awful team will take him to the ‘big leagues.'” Jake Johnson is attached to star and executive produce alongside 20th Century FOX and Bento Box Entertainment who are producing.
