English Dub Review: Mix “He Loves His Sister”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
This week’s episode sees Meisei play against the vaunted Toushou High School and by the end there’s no score and only a couple of hits on each side making this one a compelling defensive matchup. Speaking of defense, so random lady shows up to save Mayumi when a would-be robber gets beaten and subsequently arrested. In return, Mayumi invites the stranger to stay and watch the game and would continue to gloat the fact that her kids were both in the game.
Our Take
A really nice game thus far with fair baseball action on both ends. It’s a bit hard to believe that Toushou’s Hiroki Mita hasn’t had a run scored against him in the long duration of a school baseball tournament as that would make him the Goku of baseball, but I’m willing to play along if we get more solid efforts like this week. Interesting to see the producers nearly kill Mayumi, I think had they had proceeded, the act would have overshadowed the game but would have been a rather interesting twist that would’ve spiced things up a bit. However, with only a couple of more episodes left in the season, I’m fine with things staying status quo.
