Review: Ballmastrz 9009 “To Catch a Princess”

The fact that she considers herself a princess should’ve been the first clue.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Ace gets addicted to a Pokemon-like game called To Catch a Princess” where he eventually meets and is kidnapped in real-life Luna, the leader of a rival team known as the Yashigari Princesses. This pretty-pretty princess is obsessed with learning how Ace and Baby Ball merge and with the help of her team, Luna tortures the duo for answers. Fortunately, Gaz shows up with the Leptons to save the day.

Our Take

While this week’s episode takes away from the exciting escalation of the team through the tournament, we do get to meet a new team AND we are treated to a visual experience that should excite fans of Pokemon on 3DS. The fighting action is a bit more one-sided than in recent weeks as well, but the producers put together a quick jolt of dramatic flair that works rather well all the while delivering an important lesson…don’t mess with chicks you meet via games.
