English Dub Review: Garo: Vanishing Line “Gina”

There’s a bit to take in here.

Overview (Spoilers Below)

This week, Sophie and Sword hear about a mob pretty much ran by a death machine of sorts. As a result, Sophie has to slink her way into the high-security prison to lure out the tech-beast long enough for Sword to summon the Golden Knight long enough to destroy it.

Our Take

I think the character designs for the death-machine were very uninspired, but I like the Sophie/Sword duo so much may be it doesn’t bother me that much. The fucking thing’s dead, so not like it’s coming back? In any case, following Sophie’s journey into the building was a lot of fun, very Atomic Blonde-esque only in this instance we’ve got a hulking Golden Knight to help clean up the job. The violent-action sequences are a bunch of fun even if the plot of the episode was largely commonplace.
