Review: Animals “Cats. Part: 2”
Did the two-parter finish on a high-note? Find out here.
Spoilers Below
This week’s episode features the conclusion of the two-part “Cats” saga for Animals. Without spoiling too much, one of the members of Phil’s family gets killed by the rival gang which leads to a war between both parties that sees deaths on both sides and Mikey going home. That and we also got a commercial for “Cats” merch that may or may not be real for $500 and the humans may have finally implicated Pesci Corp in chemical wrong-doings.
Our Take
The sequel to “Cats Part 1” is a little better, it gets rid of the needless “B” plot and replaces it with more fat on the “humans” arc that is becoming increasingly more interesting and an Adult Swim-like commercial that was corny but got a chuckle out of me.
I do think the episode was a little slow in getting off to a good start, but the ending was very satisfying for those who watched the two-parter and we even got a hilarious Se7en punchline out of it courtesy of Mike Luciano.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
