Ratings Are In 10/20/16: ABC Wins on Halloween Animated Specials
Charlie Brown will never die.
The ratings are in and last night it was ABC winning the lead-in competition in the 8pm hour leading into the third and final Presidential Debate. As a matter of fact, the numbers for these specials, despite reruns, were higher that ABC originals. According to THR:
Also giving ABC a boost for the night were repeat airings of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (2.2 adults) and Toy Story of Terror (2.0 adults) during the 8 p.m. hour, up four-tenths and two-tenths, respectively, from last week’s showings of The Goldbergs and Speechless.
I would hope ABC would see these numbers, and value animation as a viable business for their network and bring in some more. That said, expect to see Charlie Brown specials for Thanksgiving and Christmas also do big numbers against the competition.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
