Blu-Ray Review: South Park Season 19

Yes…buy this.

One of the few mainstays left in home releases, South Park continues the trend of putting out one of the more jam-packed Blu-Ray releases that you’ll see all year. Apart from the fact that you get uncensored episodes of South Park from a season that was one of the best for the franchise of all time, add in excellent special features like deleted scenes, social commentary episodes, and episode commentaries featuring South Park producers Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

And that’s the key difference. Nineteen seasons in, and Matt and Trey are STILL doing episode commentaries. Wanna know why other franchises aren’t releasing home releases anymore? Because more often than not producers of said franchises don’t want to put in the wrench time to put out a quality home release. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are the exception, but then again, that’s why they have a series that’s been on for 20 seasons and that’s why they are making big dollars from streaming deals…they are the exceptional.
