This month’s issue of Simpsons Comics does what The Simpsons does best…parody. In this case, we get a Captain America: Civil War take on Bartman vs Houseboy where ice cream is given to all of the ‘heroes’ of Springfield that swear to reveal themselves. Expectedly, Milhouse is the first in line and gets a gamut of Springfield’s residents to join him. Bart holds out and is rewarded for his efforts.

The next bit features Duff beer coming out with a new energy drink which inspires Homer to be the mascot once again. Fortunately, Duffman puts a stop to both that and ANOTHER energy drink to hit the market.

Our Take

Solid issue of The Simpsons, and a great way to get primed for the new season coming this Fall on FOX. The producers of Simpsons Comics certainly lob a grenade on the way out of Summer all the while waving to the blockbusters of the last few months that have hit theaters.
