Review: Star Wars Rebels season 2
While the first season of Star Wars Rebels was good, the second season was much better. Instead of just a basic good versus bad scenario, the show upped the ante with more important rebel missions, two Inquisitors instead of one, and more use of the Force. But the show was more than the conflict. The main characters – Ezra, Kanan, Hera, Sabine, and Zeb – were given more backstory. We learned about where they came from and why they hate the Empire. It’s the reasons behind their actions that make them fully formed characters, which makes the show better.
This season also gave us a lot more “Star Wars” stuff. Princess Leia made an appearance, as did Yoda and Darth Vader. There was even a nod to Kylo Ren’s lightsaber in the final episode. Some people may say that these references pander to the fandom but I believe it makes the universe whole. I mean, why wouldn’t Yoda and Leia help the Rebellion?
With the season finale leaving us wondering if Ezra is going to go to the Dark Side of the Force, I can’t wait for the third season to start. There are so many unanswered questions and so much to be done. Will Vader be the new bad guy now that the Inquisitors are dead or will there be new Inquisitors? How will the crew of the Ghost handle Ezra’s dark side? I hope the season three will be even better than season 2.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
