Bubbleblabber vs Carl’s Stone Cold Pick of the NFL Week 11: Broncos vs Bears (2015)

After agreeing on a Panthers win last weekend to land us both with a .500 win percentage, it’s time for both Carl and I to start pivoting and that starts this week. That’s because we are on opposite ends of the spectrum as it pertains to picking for this game, the Broncos vs the Bears, let’s dig in.

Let’s break down both teams.

Denver Broncos

I have the Broncos winning despite the fact that Peyton Manning is broken in half, and DeMarcus Ware has been ruled out. I think despite the injuries, Wade Phillips is going to take advantage of a hurt Bears D by asking his players about formations ran on Offense by Adam Gase and John Fox when they were both the coaches in Denver. The Bears can’t do the same because they are going up against different coaching personnel, and I think Brock Osweiler has to just hand the ball of and dink and dunk his way to a win. I do believe we could see a battle of field goal kickers.

If Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffrey were playing this week, I would’ve gone with the Bears. I just don’t think the Bears have enough firepower to win against a suffocating Denver Defense that is still one of the tops in the league. Owen Daniels is back and that should be enough for Denver to dink its way into a win.
