Games Preview: Wild Grinders: Downhill Grind
Well, hopefully the game is as good as the finale to season two was.
Fresh off of the improved ending to season two, Wild Grinders LLC is collaborating with Australian based Bubble Gum Interactive to bring us the latest mobile game from Wild Grinders, called Downhill Grind. From the looks of the app, it will be reasonably priced at $3.99. I think the graphics look great, so the money could be worth it.
Later on down the line, there will be themed updates, for winter and Halloween, as well as a superhero update for the characters. The game will also have an update in July where you can play as the pro skaters that have had guest spots on the show, such as Chris Cole, Paul Rodriguez, Jagger Eaton, Nyjah Huston and Ryan Sheckler. It looks like there will be a bunch of content going forward. I was tough on the show, but I’m glad to see that the update schedule makes it seem like Bubble Gum Interactive seems all in on this.
Home Plate Entertainment was gracious enough to give us a small video to show off the graphics of the game. For a mobile game, the 3-D rendering of the characters actually looks smooth. But you don’t need to take my word for it, just peep the video below.
Wild Grinders will be out next Thursday, March 19, on the iTunes App Store, and on Google Play.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
